We are currently in the process of developing a chassis for utilising Mazda MX-5 mechanicals
and running gear, this was always the intention, as we progressed, but we have been prompted to bring forward our plans, since we have taken an order for a Mazda based kit , via our agents at Vindicator Cars. This car will utilise as much of the donor as possible, and feature a 1.8 engine,
auto box, and LSD.
Modifications have also been made to increase the leg room, in the cockpit area,
to appeal to the taller customer, and give a little more flexibility.
As with the sierra based kit, the driveshafts are shortened, and we can provide an
exchange service for these item's.
The Mazda uprights and brake assemblies, are used in standard form, and do not require modification, the re-designed wishbones still mount on our original Sierra based brackets,
thereby making future conversions possible.

NEWS
-------
During last summer, we took an order for a self-build kit, from a French couple, who , after seeing details of our car, on this website, made the journey from their home in Southern France, to come and see the demonstrator in the 'flesh', at a meeting hosted by John Butler , at his Vindicator Cars
factory, in Lye , West Midlands. Language barriers aside, they had a good look around the car , and with the translation skills of my daughter on hand, we managed to understand each other, enough to see them leave , with most of their questions answered , and return home the same day !
An order was placed,
in early April for a comprehensive kit, including full screen, sidescreens, and donor package, which they collected, personally , at the end of May, from John's factory , and transported , overland , 1900 miles back home, via a Citreon Berlingo, and two wheel car trailer, a feat which
deserves credit , if not just for that reason alone !
However, since then, they have achieved an incredible amount of progress, as depicted in the pictures below, and all this without the aid of the build manual, which is still in translation ! a brilliant achievement indeed, and worthy of a mention,
for interest to anyone considering a kit build. ( Also worth mentioning, that on returning home, the customer decided to change to L.H.D., so we sent out a new rack, and he carried out the conversion
himself, making it even more of an achievement .) We will publish more of the pictures as the car
nears completion, together with any modifications and improvements completed, along the way.
